"I met Kate by good fortune when I was continuously tired . I have thought so highly of her care of me, and her way of understanding my body and mood that I have referred everyone I think could benefit as I have done. She is not only knowledgeable she is open, ethical and caring. And I am so much better! Even the NHS had to check out on the results she found, and then agreed with her, having said I was fine. I warmly commend her to you"

energy balance

Different foods affect our blood sugar levels and energy in different ways depending on the make up of the food (protein, fats or carbohydrate). There is growing evidence to show that a diet based on foods which are quickly released into the blood stream can lead to a cycle of blood sugar ups and downs leading to sugar cravings, cravings for stimulants, fluctuating energy levels and poor concentration.

Disrupted blood sugar balance can also put pressure on our stress glands (called the adrenal glands). The stress hormones secreted help to keep our energy levels constant and provide energy quickly when it is needed. Long-term stresses of modern day life coupled with a less than optimal diet, can put too much pressure on these glands and recent studies have shown that this can lead to constantly low energy levels and other symptoms.

During your consultation we will look at possible underlying factors which may be contributing to your lack of energy and well being and a suitable protocol will be devised to help support your blood sugar control and energy levels.

Diagnostic testing may be suggested such as an Adrenal Stress Index test to help pin point the route cause of the symptoms.

You will receive a personalised food plan to support your individual requirements with individualised food ideas for healthy eating on the go.
