About Me
Kate Osborne
MSc, BSc (Hons), Dip BCNH, AFMCP
I work with each person in the best way that I can, taking time to understand your concerns and together create a personalised health plan to suit your particular needs. I want you to feel cared for, listened to and reassured. I have been working in the field of nutritional therapy since 2009.
I was part of the Clinician Education team for Genova Diagnostics Europe until 2019 - where I advised doctors and other clinicians on how best to support their patients using functional testing and therapeutic interventions. I also lectured on functional testing and nutrition at universities and conferences. In 2018 I completed training in Functional Medicine which is an evidence-based approach to tackle the root cause, rather than just the symptoms.
My personal journey has helped me along this path as I spent my twenties struggling with digestive issues and poor immune function which really affected my ability to work and have a normal social life. I was constantly in and out of medical centres and hospitals having tests which could not find anything wrong. I had a whole cupboard full of various over the counter and prescribed medications which I relied upon to help keep my symptoms under control.
Fortunately, a few years later I discovered nutritional therapy. I made some changes to what I was eating and added in some supplements and my symptoms pretty much went away in a couple of weeks. I loved the idea of using foods therapeutically as medicine and was able to finally take control of my own health without relying on my GP and medications. Knowing what a difference this has made to my life, I was inspired to help others understand their own health and take charge of it.
