About Me

Kate Osborne

MSc, BSc (Hons), Dip BCNH, AFMCP

I was part of the Clinician Education team for Genova Diagnostics Europe until 2019 - where I advised doctors and other clinicians on how best to support their patients using functional testing and therapeutic interventions. I also lectured on functional testing and nutrition at universities and conferences.  In 2018 I completed training in Functional Medicine which is an evidence-based approach to tackle the root cause, rather than just the symptoms. I also completed the Autoimmunity module with the Kharrazian Institute (Functional Medicine) in 2022.

My personal journey has helped me along this path as I spent my twenties struggling with digestive issues and poor immune function which really affected my ability to work and have a normal social life. I was constantly in and out of medical centres and hospitals having tests which could not find anything wrong. I had a whole cupboard full of various over the counter and prescribed medications which I relied upon to help keep my symptoms under control.

Fortunately, a few years later I discovered nutritional therapy. I made some changes to what I was eating and added in some supplements and my symptoms pretty much went away in a couple of weeks. I loved the idea of using foods therapeutically as medicine and was able to finally take control of my own health without relying on my GP and medications. Knowing what a difference this has made to my life, I was inspired to help others understand their own health and take charge of it.

MSc in Person Centered Nutrition (2015); BSc in Biology 1998); Diploma in Nutrition (2006); AFMCP training in Functional Medicine (2018) and completion Autoimmunity module training with the Kharrazian Institute (2022).  I am also a certified NLP practitioner (2015). I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) a government recognised body.  Practitioners on this register are recommended by the Department of Health as alternative health practitioners.
