COMPREHENSIVE HORMONE PANEL PLUS- (DOCTORS DATA TEST)
This is a one day test in saliva that checks three types of oestrogen: oestradiol (E1) oestrone (E2) and oestriol (E3).
This can be useful when assessing breast cancer risk as the E3 is more cancer-protective whereas E2 and E1 are stronger oestrogens.
Also looking at the balance with progesterone can tell us if there is a pattern of oestrogen dominance (this can lead to symptoms such as irritability, brain fog, anxiety, fibroids and cysts.
The Adrenal Stress Profile (4-Point Cortisol test) is included in this test.
This can be really useful because of the impact that cortisol has on oestrogen and progesterone. If cortisol is dysregulated then it is more difficult to bring the other hormones into balance.
